This hydrogen refueling station is a first of its kind for the Centre Val de Loire Region (France), for which this project is a key milestone of its strategy of development. Inaugurated on September 21, the station will enable, in the two coming years, to fill up on clean hydrogen all kind of mobilities (utility fleets but also garbage trucks).
Located in the heart of the business park “Hysoparc” of Sorigny, our McFilling 20-350 by McPhy is, in the first stage of the project, dedicated to a fleet of ten utility vehicles (Kangoo ZE-H2). Let’s recall that those hydrogen-powered vehicles have obvious advantages: long-range autonomy (350 km), fast refueling time (less than 5 minutes), and no emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere (they only emit water vapor).
The second phase of the project aims at implementing a hydrogen production platform. This electrolyzer will be connected to the local green electricity sources (solar park) and will provide, on-site and on-demand, the clean hydrogen needed to recharge the “zero-emission” vehicles of the local communities: utility fleet, but also garbage trucks.
This project is the perfect illustration of the local communities’ dynamism in favor of the deployment of clean mobility solutions. It enables the Touraine Vallée de l’Indre Community “to « embody its hydrogen strategy and position itself among the Regions which are precursors to widespread hydrogen clean mobility”.
