Korea: City of Busan to Add an Additional 15 Hydrogen Buses This Year

 On the 22nd of April 2020 the City of Busan announced that it will be adding 15 more Eco-friendly hydrogen buses this year. 

The city completed the supply five hydrogen buses using its hydrogen bus pilot project last year, and this year it will supply a total of 15 units, including 5 units in the first half and 10 units in the second half. 

In addition, it plans to supply a total of 100 hydrogen buses by 2022 by adding 30 vehicles in 2021 and 50 vehicles in 2022. The city will also build a hydrogen bus refueling station in the East and West Busan area by 2021 to ensure stable supply of hydrogen buses.

An official from Busan City said, “We will do our best to improve the air quality, such as reducing the fine dust in the city center by expanding the supply of Eco-friendly hydrogen buses.”
