Korea: JNK Heater and Hylium Industry Sign Hydrogen Cooperation Agreement

On October 23rd JNK Heaters Heater and Hyrium Industries announced that they signed a business agreement for cooperation in hydrogen business.

JNK Heater is engaged in the hydrogen-related business in the liquefaction and storage of hydrogen.

A company official said, “Through this agreement, the two companies will seek to develop a business model by providing mutual technology, exchange of personnel, mutual cooperation for completing a hydrogen charging station construction project, and connecting hydrogen extractor and liquefied hydrogen plant based on their own original technologies.”

The official continued, “We also agreed to cooperate with each other to reduce the dependence on the high foreign equipment of the hydrogen industry and to gradually increase the use of domestic products.”

“We look forward to a synergy between the two companies throughout the entire cycle of hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization.”

Hylium Industrial Co., Ltd., which has source technology for hydrogen liquefaction and storage, was founded in 2014 by researchers who have been researching liquefied hydrogen for 20 years at Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). The company develops and supplies liquefied hydrogen tanks for mobility, fuel cell power packs for unmanned aerial vehicles, and mobile hydrogen stations.
