Fuel Cells Works, Mitsui & Co. Subscribes for Convertible Bonds From Norway's Hexagon Purus, a Hydrogen Cylinder and Battery System Manufacturer

Japanese trading company Mitsui & Co. has agreed to subscribe for convertible bonds worth NOK 500 million (approximately JPY 6.6 billion) issued by Norwegian hydrogen cylinder and systems manufacturer Hexagon Purus.

Mitsui has also signed a strategic alliance with Purus and will explore future opportunities for additional investment when Purus implements capital increases.

Purus has expertise in the manufacture of compressed hydrogen gas cylinders, the design of hydrogen supply systems, and commercial vehicle integration.

Mitsui plans to leverage its strategic alliance with Purus to create new business opportunities relating to decarbonization in the mobility sector and contribute to the shift to zero-emission mobility in commercial vehicles, maritime, rail, and aviation sectors.
