The RAD has started with a hydrogen-powered rear loader to collect household waste. During a period of 2 months, the hydrogen vehicle will be used within the municipality of Hoeksche Waard to replace an existing diesel vehicle.
Since its inception on 7 July 2021, and with the support of the Government of China and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the International Hydrogen Energy Centre (IHEC) has been promoting the development of hydrogen energy, including through the world’s largest demonstration project – jointly led by IHEC and Beijing Sinohytec – of hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicles during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics as more than 850 hydrogen fuel cell buses were used to transport athletes and officials with 9 green hydrogen refueling stations built in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province. In total, the buses operated over 3.2 million kilometers and consumed around 200 tons of green hydrogen, which saved an estimated 2,000 tons of carbon.

CAIRO: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the government to continue strengthening the existing efforts to attract foreign investments to the Suez Canal Economic Zone in the field of clean energy production, particularly green hydrogen and its various industrial applications, to maximize the benefit from the strategic and vital location of the Canal.
The European Commission has drafted new rules clarifying how “green” hydrogen produced from renewable energy can be legally counted as “additional” and verified as such. The draft rules are seen as a boon for the fledgling European industry.
TALLINN – The joint institution of Enterprise Estonia (EAS) and Kredex is about to provide, through a program in applied research, an additional 10 million euros towards projects of Estonian companies that contribute to cooperation in the format of important projects of common European interest (IPCEI) in the hydrogen value chain.
