Parker Hannifin, in collaboration with the German company Fraunhofer Institute for Microengineering and Microsystems (IMM), has reached a significant benchmark in the domain of hydrogen filtration.

This achievement has been marked by the successful completion of a specialized test rig dedicated to their hydrogen business.

This accomplishment is a crucial step forward in the mass manufacturing of hollow fibre membrane technology, designed for humidification applications within fuel cells. The test rig, tailored to validate products developed by Parker OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) customers, is poised to provide Parker with advanced methods to assess the membrane technology.

Hollow fibre membrane technology is foreseen to enhance the longevity, efficiency, and reliability of fuel cells by maintaining optimal moisture levels. This technological advancement represents a promising path towards more effective and dependable fuel cell electric vehicles, contributing to a greener future.
