Progressive Energy Joins NWHA

Progressive Energy has joined the North West Hydrogen Alliance. The company is taking a leading role on HyNet – the UK’s leading hydrogen and carbon capture storage project which could see hydrogen blended into the gas grid and piped into homes and businesses by 2024.

“Progressive Energy joined the Alliance to enable closer alignment of the HyNet project with the partner organisations already present as members”, explained David Parkin, Director at Progressive Energy. “Being part of this group also allows us to more easily draw upon the huge depth of skills and experience of the core engineering and construction supply chain in the North West.”

Progressive Energy is a clean energy project developer focusing on decarbonisation of the ‘hard to reach’ sectors of the economy such as industry, transport and heat. Hydrogen is a fundamental element of the future low carbon economy, and we are at the heart of shaping many of the projects, technology developments and regulatory thinking required for this transition.
