BayoTech Signs Agreement to Fuel GreenCores 1500 Next Generation Hydrogen Fuel Cell Powered Ev Charging Stations

SK Energy has partnered with Korea Southern Power, LS Electric, Daehan Green Power, and Samchully Asset Management to develop urban distributed power generation and electric vehicle charging through a “fusion urban fuel cell project”.

The project involves installing fuel cells and electric vehicle chargers at gas stations or vacant sites in city centers and using the electricity generated by the fuel cells to power the chargers and nearby power grids. Fuel cells, which produce electricity through an electrochemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen, are a low-carbon energy source.

SK Energy, Korea Southern Power, LS Electric, and Daehan Green Power will expand the project by utilizing their renewable energy assets and capabilities, while Samchully Asset Management will raise the funds for large-scale investments.

The project builds on SK Energy’s demo project for building and running fuel cells at gas stations, which the company has been working on since May 2021. The partnership aims to promote the use of hydrogen as an energy source and distributed power generation.
