Spain: Iberdrola to Invest 150 million EUR into Hydrogen Plant

Fuel cells works, Iberdrola And Foresa Plan Investments In Renewable Hydrogen For The Production Of Green Methanol In Galicia

Iberdrola recently announced plans to enter into green renewable hydrogen. 

Iberdrola plans include the construction of a 100-MW solar farm and a 20 MWh battery that will power the electrolysis system planned for installation in the Spanish city of Puertollano

In addition, the company plans will also include experiments in hydrogen storage including using liquid organic hydrogen carriers.

Located in the industrial town of Puertollano, in the south-central province of Castilla-La Mancha, the plant will involve bifacial PV solar and lithium-ion batteries and of course a stackable electrolysis module at a total system cost of $165 million.
