Bloom Energy Fuel Cell Server Installed at the new Yokohama City Hall small

Bloom Energy Japan Co., Ltd. (Bloom Energy Japan, Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Shigeki Miwa, hereinafter “Bloom Energy Japan”), which produces electricity in the SoftBank Group, is a clean, highly efficient commercial and industrial type.

The fuel cell power generation system “Bloom Energy Server” was at the new Yokohama City Hall and started operation. The output of the “Bloom Energy Server” installed this time is 200kW, and it is planned to cover about 10% of the annual power consumption expected to be in demand at the new Yokohama City Hall.

The “Bloom Energy Server” is a clean and highly efficient solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) that uses city gas or natural gas as a fuel, and its power generation efficiency exceeds 60% in the initial value. As a base power source, the introduction is progressing in facilities that require a sustainable supply of electricity, such as data centers, factories, large-scale commercial facilities, and government offices. This is also the first time that a Bloom Energy Server has been installed in a main government office building in Japan.

Bloom Energy Japan will continuously supply clean and stable electricity 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to improve the environment of the new Yokohama City Hall and continue the administrative function in an emergency. The “Bloom Energy Server” is highly efficient and contributes to the reduction of CO2, and even during a power failure, it is possible to continue power generation by supplying fuel with medium pressure gas, which is highly disaster-resistant.

Bloom Energy Japan will contribute to the spread of disaster-resistant and clean distributed power sources in Japan by supplying electric power generated by the highly efficient and highly reliable “Bloom Energy Server”.
