Chariot, the Africa-focused transitional energy group, is delighted to announce the successful completion of the Feasibility Study for the large-scale green hydrogen project “Project Nour” in Mauritania, which has been officially presented to the Government of Mauritania.
Project Nour, a joint venture equally owned by Chariot’s subsidiary Chariot Green Hydrogen and TE H2 (co-owned by TotalEnergies and EREN Group), is advancing with the support of Mauritania’s Ministry of Petroleum, Energy, and Mines.

- Further clarification on the scale and viability of Project Nour, following a Pre-Feasibility Study in 2022 which revealed its potential as one of the world’s most significant green hydrogen projects with up to 10 GW of electrolysis.
- A phased development approach beginning with a 3 GW renewable capacity to power 1.6 GW of electrolysis, aiming to produce 150 kt of green hydrogen annually.
