Toyota’s visual identity for Paris 2024

During the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, all Toyota vehicles and mobility solutions will feature a visual identity designed especially for the occasion, highlighting the strong partnership between Toyota and the Games. This exclusive design will highlight Toyota’s multi-technology approach to carbon neutrality, with specific colors for each technology present at the Games.

Jaime Noriega, Technical Manager Styling Division, Toyota Motor Europe: “The design imagined for the Paris 2024 vehicle fleet was created from graphic elements borrowed directly from the Look of the Games (gradients, stripes, dots, etc.), itself inspired by symbols of culture and French art of living. The result is a strong visual link between the Games and all related events organized both on and off the competition grounds. We emphasized the dynamic character of the vehicles with a fluid design including shiny strips and matte emblems. Finally, we have carefully selected the colors associated with each technology, in line with our multi-technology approach. We chose blue for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (color evoking water, the only emission during the driving phase of this type of vehicle), green for battery electric vehicles (color symbolizing nature and thus the ecological nature of this engine), and purple for self-charging hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles (third color of the Paris 2024 competition sites).”

A multi-technology approach reflecting a commitment to carbon neutrality

Sustainability is an important aspect of Toyota’s commitment to building a better world, as evidenced by its Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050, by which time the company has set a goal of achieve carbon neutrality globally – and 2040 in Europe.

Yoshihiro Nakata, President of Toyota Motor Europe: “The Toyota group is delighted to embark on this adventure with Paris 2024, a reflection of our commitment to innovative and sustainable mobility solutions. Our multi-technology approach focused on carbon neutrality is at the center of the Toyota fleet made available to the Olympic and Paralympic family for the Paris 2024 Games. Toyota will therefore provide a fleet of electrified passenger vehicles in line with our commitment to reducing carbon emissions.”

The KINTO car-sharing solution serving the Paris 2024 teams

In addition to the official fleet of vehicles made available to them for Paris 2024, the staff of the Games Organizing Committee have benefited from the “KINTO Share” car-sharing service since September 2023. This flexible mobility service meets their professional needs during the preparation phase for the Games, particularly for their travel to the most remote locations, which are difficult to access by public transport.

The KINTO Share fleet is synonymous with inclusiveness and accessibility. Its high usage rate and the positive feedback from the Paris 2024 teams already confirm the effectiveness of the KINTO Share service for the Games Organizing Committee.

Mobility solutions for everyone

Toyota also delivered the first copies of C+walk S to Paris 2024 employees who have disabilities, allowing them to move freely around the Pulse building. Toyota will provide a total of 700 copies for athletes, staff and spectators to support mobility for all during these Games.

Tony Estanguet, President of Paris 2024: “Our collaboration with Toyota as the Global Mobility Partner of the Paris 2024 Games allows us to promote more accessible and inclusive mobility, but also more responsible as we focus on our objective of reducing overall carbon emissions. greenhouse gases from these Games. Our employees’ use of the KINTO car-sharing service is in line with our sustainability objectives. This allows our teams to travel in a safer and more sustainable way during preparation for the Games, making Paris 2024 a benchmark in terms of mobility. In addition, the provision of inclusive “last mile” solutions to our disabled staff, including C+walk, clearly illustrates Toyota’s commitment to mobility for all. I would like to thank Toyota for sharing our ambitions and doing everything possible to make them a reality! “
