The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) alongside the Sustainable Energy Council (SEC) are co-hostingĀ the Hydrogen Americas Summit, taking place from 10-11 October at the Omni Shoreham Hotel inĀ Washington DC. The Summit will gather global government representatives, hydrogen and energyĀ stakeholders, service providers and end-users to identify opportunities and get insights into theĀ latest projects and policy developments that will be crucial to drive the Regionās industry forward.
Hydrogen will be crucial to achieve a low-carbon energy mix. The recent signing of the InflationĀ Reduction Act as well as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, including unprecedented funding for theĀ development of clean hydrogen hubs, has further cemented the key role that hydrogen will play inĀ the regionās energy transition.
The U.S. aims to reinforce its energy leadership and strengthen the economy through HydrogenĀ projects which could generate $140 billion per year in revenue and create 700,000 jobs by 2030Ā according to the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association (FCHEA).
