Lower total cost of ownership/new areas of application

Weeze, Germany–Same quality, higher pressure rating: Wystrach’s classic bundles for industrial gases are now also available in a 400 bar variant.

“Compared with the 330 bar version, the 400 bar bundles have the same footprint but offer a good 16 percent more storage capacity,” says Wystrach CEO Wolfgang Wolter. “The new solutions are suitable for hydrogen and other gases and allow our customers to greatly reduce the total cost of ownership of their bundle pool.” Mandatory periodic inspections cost the same for the 300/330 bar and 400 bar variants.

To launch this new solution, Wystrach joined forces with Worthington Industries, a leading manufacturer of high-pressure cylinders. The 400 bar PED cylinders used in the Wystrach bundles are one of Worthington’s latest innovations.

Example application: hydrogen refueling trailers

“The new 400 bar pressure rating also opens up new areas of application,” Wolter explains. “It’s an appealing option, for example, to use as intermediate storage for refueling trailers. With pressures of 400 bar, trailers can be refueled directly from the storage system.” All products in the standard PED range are available to order now as ready-to-fill 400 bar solutions. Delivery time is currently around eight weeks.
