Xavier Colson Appointed Managing Director of Gen-Hy

Xavier Colson has been appointed Managing Director of Gen-Hy, a French start-up offering innovative solutions for the production of green hydrogen. His primary role will involve transforming Gen-Hy into an industrial SME. To drive Gen-Hy’s development strategy forward, he will utilize his experience in implementing a System Excellence approach across all the company’s processes, especially in production.

Joining him in this endeavor is Bruno Salque, Deputy Managing Director, supported by a skilled and committed team. Xavier Colson, aged 56 and a graduate of the Ecole Navale and the Ecole des Mécaniciens de la Marine, has a decade of experience as a department manager on French Navy ships. Subsequently, he spent 16 years at PSA (Stellantis) in various roles encompassing industrial projects, purchasing, plant management, forecasting, and international cooperation with BMW and GM. In 2016, Colson joined EES Clemessy, a subsidiary of Eiffage Energie Systèmes (EES), serving as the Sales Director for the automotive division.

In 2019, Colson engaged in the hydrogen ecosystem and played a pivotal role in forging a collaboration between Gen-Hy and EES. Since 2022, he has led the hydrogen business at EES. Sébastien Le Pollès, Chairman of Gen-Hy, expressed that Colson’s appointment as Managing Director is vital for the success of their industrial project, emphasizing the importance of human-centric approaches in their upcoming recruitment initiatives.
