Fuel Cells Works, Genevos Awarded Monaco Prize for Innovation in Renewable Hydrogen and Transportation

The award was presented by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II during the final day of the Monaco Hydrogen Forum, an event exclusively dedicated to uniting key stakeholders to help accelerate innovation across the hydrogen value chain.

The Prize was awarded by the Monaco Hydrogen Alliance with the 2022 edition providing recognition to innovative solutions in the field of mobility, with special distinction granted to solutions which can positively impact the maritime mobility value chain.

Solutions from over fifteen countries spread over three continents applied for the Monaco Prize for Innovation in Renewable Hydrogen and Transportation. Each application was reviewed based on the strict criteria of innovation and disruption potential, implementation potential, cross-sector adaptability, and scalability. Eight finalists were identified and asked to present their solutions on 21 November 2022 during the Monaco Hydrogen Forum.

The Monaco Hydrogen Alliance’s jury awarded first place to Genevos as the Winning Solution in recognition for its plug & play and scalable Hydrogen Power Module range, enabling zero emission vessels across the maritime sector. Second place was awarded to Gaussin Group for solutions focussed on cross-sector adaptability, and Hydrox Holdings completed the podium with a special distinction as an emerging technology.

Phil Sharp, CTO at Genevos commented:

“It is an honour to receive this prestigious Monaco Prize for Innovation in Renewable Hydrogen and Transportation. It means a huge amount to us at Genevos and endorses the importance of enabling clean hydrogen powered vessels in the race to net zero.”
