German news reports are indicating that German Federal Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer has spoken out against the one-sided promotion of electric mobility and thus contradicted earlier statements by VW CEO Herbert Diess.
German Federal Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer said at a mobility conference in Berlin, “that the statements of Diess for completely wrong”. The VW Herbert Diess boss had demanded that Germany must fully rely on electric mobility.
Scheuer said “that a technology-based approach is right. We have to stay wide. One can not say yet, which is the best drive concept in ten years.” he continued, “Hydrogen and fuel cell technology must also be promoted”.
