Orlen is making strides in enhancing its hydrogen fueling infrastructure within the Czech Republic. The company, which currently operates two hydrogen refueling stations in Prague and Litvínov, is keenly focused on expanding its presence in the realm of hydrogen energy.

Aiming to bolster the alternative energy landscape, Orlen has laid out plans to construct additional hydrogen stations in key Czech cities, including Prague, Brno, and Ostrava. This initiative complements the existing hydrogen stations, showcasing Orlen’s commitment to supporting a range of alternative fuel options.
Vladimír Dočekal, Director of the Orlen fuel retail network, emphasized the importance of this expansion. “Even as traditional fuels maintain their dominance in the near future, our investment in building hydrogen infrastructure is a strategic move to stay competitive,” he stated. Dočekal highlighted the necessity of developing infrastructure for alternative fuels, considering it crucial for the company’s sustained market relevance.

Last year, Orlen inaugurated a state-of-the-art hydrogen refueling station in Prague’s Barrandov district. This facility, equipped with advanced dispensers offering 700bar pressure for cars and 350bar for larger vehicles, represents Orlen’s dedication to advancing hydrogen fuel technology.
