Symbio, a trailblazer in hydrogen mobility solutions, announced the signing of a €93 million revolving credit facility. This financial arrangement was coordinated by Crédit Agricole CIB Corporate and Investment Bank (CACIB) in the role of documentation coordinator/agent, along with a syndicate of esteemed partner banks.

This financial achievement demonstrates the trust and backing of our French banking partners, including CACIB, the Caisse Régionale du Crédit Agricole Centre-est, the Caisse Régionale du Crédit Agricole Centre France, the Caisse Régionale du Crédit Agricole Sud Rhône Alpes, LCL, Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking, Société Générale, BNP Paribas, and CIC. Their support is crucial in Symbio’s mission to deploy zero-emission hydrogen mobility on a large scale, promoting a clean and forward-thinking energy vector.

This milestone follows a significant €77 million fundraising event in 2021, orchestrated by Crédit Agricole Leasing & Factoring (CALF – Crédit Agricole Group) and other regional banking partners. The funds were dedicated to the development of our Gigafactorie in Saint-Fons, Europe’s largest integrated site for hydrogen fuel cell production, which commenced operations in 2023.

Philippe Rosier, CEO of Symbio, stated, “The signing of this syndicated corporate credit line, a first for our Group, is a testament to the strong relationship we have built with our French banking partners. This financing provides us with additional operational flexibility, complementing the unwavering support of our FORVIA, Michelin, and Stellantis shareholders and the backing of the European Union and the Government of France. It further reinforces the relevance of our vision for the future of hydrogen. This provides us with a financing structure adapted to the execution of our Hymotive project, a large investment plan of €1 billion over seven years, aimed at accelerating our industrialization and disruptive innovation, while increasing our total production capacity in France to 100,000 systems per year by 2028.”
