Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands have entered into a partnership aimed at advancing green energy and hydrogen technologies.
This collaboration was formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed by the two nations.
Saudi energy minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, suggested at the World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam that the Netherlands could serve as a key conduit for the transportation of hydrogen, derived from renewable energy sources in Saudi Arabia, to Europe. He emphasized that Rotterdam would act as their gateway to Europe.
Prince Abdulaziz further indicated that the Netherlands and Germany would be Saudi Arabia’s “natural partners” in the green hydrogen trade. This partnership symbolizes the countries’ shared commitment to fostering sustainable and renewable energy sources.
