SYMBIO, the leader in zero-emission hydrogen mobility, a major technological and industrial partner of the pioneers of sustainable mobility, is partnering with PULSALYS, the incubator and innovation accelerator DeepTech innovation in Lyon and Saint-Etienne, to accelerate the creation of innovative start-ups in the field of hydrogen. At stake: support and accelerate the creation of start-ups from teams from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in the field of hydrogen, allow start-ups in the chain to be accompanied in their incubation phase and to move closer to public and private laboratories more quickly to accelerate their development, and support the emergence of a robust hydrogen ecosystem in Auvergne-RhôneSYMBIO, leader in the field.

SYMBIO, leader of zero-emission hydrogen mobility, and PULSALYS, the Société d’Accélération du Transfer de Technologies de Lyon et Saint-Etienne (SATT) announced on 10 November 2023 the signing of a framework agreement to seal a new partnership.

A new collaboration, anchored in the territory and the hydrogen valley in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

This agreement, which is sealed between these two strategic players in innovation on the territory of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, is part of the objective of accelerating the development of the hydrogen sector.

The signing of this agreement enables SYMBIO to put its expertise in hydrogen-related technologies at the service of selected start-ups, currently being created or incubated at PULSALYS, with privileged access in particular to SYMBIO laboratories and equipment and/or mentoring. PULSALYS will, for its part, contribute its expertise to SYMBIO, on the one hand, in the detection of the opportunity to create and connect start-ups from public research laboratories in the field, and, on the other hand, in the incubation phase of start-ups whose market belongs to the hydrogen sector.

“Symebio is committed to the solid development of a hydrogen industry. We have been contributing to incubation projects for several years. This partnership with PULSALYS is a way to strengthen our action by putting our technological and industrial expertise at the service of promising disruptive projects. And thus contribute to consolidating our ecosystem and making zero-emission hydrogen mobility a reality,” said Philippe Rosier, CEO of SYMBIO.

“I welcome this agreement with SYMBIO, a major player in hydrogen and innovation in the field, especially as the company is based locally and contributes to the national and international reach of the territory. This structuring partnership for a sector of the future will benefit our two structures through the actions mentioned and more broadly for all start-ups in the hydrogen sector, which is a priority for the Region and for the State through the France 2030 plan,” says Sophie Jullian, President of PULSALYS.
