Changwon City (Mayor Sung-moo Huh) held the “Changwon City Hydrogen Energy Circulation System Demonstration Project Joint Operation” agreement ceremony at the Changwon Convention Center in the presence of CEOs of four companies specializing in hydrogen energy and Changwon City Mayor Sung-moo Huh and announced the City’s determination to become the hub of the global hydrogen energy industry.

St. Paul, MN– Middle schools in Ohio have kicked off a special program that aims to teach kids about alternative energy and get them excited about the future of zero-emission technology. Through “Fueling Our Future,” select middle schools in Canton, Cleveland, and Columbus, Ohio will expose students to careers in alternative energy and get the chance to ride a real fuel cell electric bus.

LONDON, U.K. — Based on its recent analysis of the European fuel cells market, Frost & Sullivan recognises GenCell Ltd. with the 2019 Europe Enabling Technology Leadership Award for its fuel cell solutions that provide clean backup and off-grid power to utilities, healthcare, telecommunications, and automated industries.

One fuel cell bus operating in the United States has surpassed 29,000 hours of drive time and nine buses have exceeded 20,000 hours without major repairs or replacement of the fuel cell stack.

This is comparable to the life expectancy of a diesel engine in a transit bus. Diesel buses have an engine that is sometimes rebuilt halfway through its usable life at 6 years/250,000 miles on average.

In 2016, public transit in the U.S. provided almost 11 billion passenger trips via buses, light and heavy rail, commuter trains, and other transportation modes. Almost half of those trips were on buses traveling on more than 230,000 miles of streets and roads. Today, 42 percent of these buses are diesel-powered.[i]

E.DIS and GASAG have entered into a cooperation agreement to develop a power-to-gas (P2G) project in Ketzin in Havelland, Brandenburg. At P2G, hydrogen is generated by regenerative electricity through electrolysis. 

At the recent 2019 Drone Show Korea held in Bexco, Busan, Doosan Mobility Innovation unveiled a hydrogen fuel cell drone that can fly for more than two hours.
