Aberdeen City Council Approves Purchase of New Hydrogen Buses

Fuel Cells Works, Fast-Tracking Net Zero Infrastructure: Aberdeen Receives Funding to Grow its Hydrogen Ambitions

At their recent council meeting in Aberdeen, council was updated on Aberdeen’s plans to create a “Hydrogen Valley” in Aberdeen.

The members of the City Growth and Resources Committee were also informed that Toyota was in the process of recommending that Aberdeen be the first UK city that would be selling hydrogen fuel cell cars made by Toyota. This would heavily be dependent on when the upgrade of the Kittybrewster hydrogen station would be completed.

At the same meeting the city council approved the purchase of 5 additional hydrogen fuel cell buses.
