For the next 6 months Hyundai Nexo, the world’s first hydrogen fuel cell sport utility vehicle will be test drives on the streets of Montgomery.
On Friday, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama announced the company is loaning the Hyundai Nexo to Gov. Kay Ivey and the City of Montgomery for a test drive and evaluation period.
The evaluation period is Hyundai’s way of determining the feasibility of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in Montgomery but the company hopes “the evaluation period in Montgomery will help stimulate interest in the vehicle across the country”.
