Gasunie stated this in response to the presentation of the budget plans for 2022 on the annual ‘Prinsjesdag’. In the proposals, the caretaker cabinet announced, among other things, that money would be set aside for subsidies for infrastructure projects in the field of hydrogen and heat.

Redox Power Systems (Redox) has joined with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) and AVL Powertrain Engineering, Inc. (AVL) on a Department of Energy project to develop low cost (< $1,000/kW) small-scale (5-25 kW) SOFC power systems for distributed generation. The project will result in improvements to the technology and a 7-kW system prototype demonstration.

Building on the first safety planning guidance document published in 2019, the new document provides further information on safety planning, monitoring, and reporting for hydrogen and fuel cell projects in Europe. It helps EU projects to incorporate state-of-the-art hydrogen safety by integrating safety learnings, expertise and planning.
